Lithographic print was how it all started back in 1993 - hence the 'litho' in KMS Litho. This still represents the bulk of our print and is most suited to print runs exceeding 500 or where critical matching of pantone colours are crucial.
Digital print has become increasingly popular in recent years and we've invested in the technology to be able to offer a full range of digital print services when you only need a low run of copies - maybe for a special occasion or a one-day event?
Giclée fine art reproduction prints (pronounced 'gee-clay') are extremely high quality, digital prints that use an ultra fine inkjet printing process to produce images of intense colour and vibrancy. Giclée printing is popular with artists and photographers displaying their work in art galleries, museums and exhibitions.

Perfect for when you need to specify exact colour matches in one, two or three colour print jobs or when you've got a full colour job where you need more than 500 copies. Examples of typical lithographic print projects include stationery sets and business cards, company brochures, direct mail flyers, corporate folders and 'cut to shape' products for retail packaging.

Digital printing great for small, short-run print items where you typically only need a few copies (usually less than 500). With a quicker set up process than litho printing, the lead time is less, which is great for your urgent projects and it also lends itself well to personalisation on jobs such as corporate gifts and invitations. The downside to digital printing is you can't specify an exact colour match to a specific pantone reference number as you can with lithographic print.

At KMS we've been producing Giclee fine art reproduction prints for many years and we're one of only a few printers with this expertise and technology. Giclee prints are ideal for your reproduction prints of paintings as we scan from your original artworks wherever possible as this will give a first generation reproduction. We can also advise you on the best papers and boards for each individual application and we always use lightfast inks, which are resistant to the destructive action of light.
The real beauty of our Giclee service is that you only need to print exactly how many you need as we store your scanned artwork on file for future call offs as and when you need more. Perfect for one-off specialist prints when you are selling your work.

The press room is the heart of the operation and our printing presses are some of the best in the industry. We have a combination of size and colour presses to offer maximum versatility to offer you the best value for money for your print requirements:
- Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 five colour press
- Heidelberg Speedmaster 52 two colour press
- Konica Minolta Bizhub Pro digital printer
When a print job requires specialist finishing such as foil blocking or embossing, we outsource this work to our trusted partners. However the majority of jobs can be finished in-house and we have the following equipment:
- Polar 78cm guillotine for cutting
- Stahl Ti combination folder with knife cross fold
- Set Masters 10 station A3/20 station A4 collator with stitch, fold and trim unit
- Morgana matrix crease perforation and numbering
- Multi-head drilling
We offer a range of fulfilment services for our clients and we know that sometimes you just need a helping hand to actually get your print out to customers rather than sitting in your store cupboard waiting for you to get round to mailing them out!
