We wanted to create something different for our own brochure, something clients would want to keep and refer back to. The box was printed 2 Pantones on 350gsm silk board, soft touch laminated & white foiled to outers, die cut to shape and made up by hand. The postcard sets had the card faces printed CMYK on 300gsm silk board and soft touch laminated with the card backs printed 2 x Pantone colours (alternating) on 300gsm Fedrigoni Arcoprint then duplexed (glued) to face sheet, forming a 600gsm card. These were then collated into sets of 16 cards, drilled and screw rivetted together. The A-Z Guide to Print was printed CMYK + 2 Pantones throughout on 90gsm uncoated offset paper then concertina map-folded (3 x parallel and 3 x lateral) to finished size of A6. Both items collated and inserted in to box with covering letter.

A5 die-cut ‘reveal’ mailer, incorporating a pull-out information tab. Printed in CMYK + 1 Pantone on uncoated 300gsm uncoated board, the wallet is die-cut with an aperture and assembled with the integrated pull-out tab so that, once fully extended, it reveals an alternative image and information on the tab. The mechanism used for the pull-out tab is such that it stops the recipient completely detaching the insert from the wallet.

This project demonstrates the flexibility of litho printed multiple items on the press at the same time. The client in question (Evergreen Art Cafe in Daventry) had a number of print items that were all designed using two spot pantone colours and as they were required on the same uncoated 300gsm board we were able to lay these up on the press together. This represented a considerable saving for the client had we have had to print each item as an individual job.

This large case bound book was 297mm square with 36 thread-sewn text pages. The Wiblin wrapped cover included a blind debossed title and the overall effect was unstated elegance, much like the property it was used to promote as part of the sale process.
This digitally printed poetry book won the Environmental Award at the British Book Design & Production Awards. The awards are organised by the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF). The Environmental Award is for books that have been produced using best practice in environmental management including the use of FSC papers and reduction in carbon footprint of the book; the judges looked at the whole manufacturing process.
The book in question was ‘The Silent Vessel’ designed and published in Hook Norton by Meg Richardson at Pelinore Press and printed by KMS Litho. We printed the text pages digitally on our Konica Minolta press using Freelife Vellum recycled paper from Fedrigoni and then the soft cover was thread sewn and perfect bound to finish.

These business cards where litho printed with the rabbit illustration embossed on one side. They were duplexed together to create the feel of a lovely thick board. The overall effect is understated and extremely professional.
