Digital printing in Oxfordshire

The benefits of digital printing:

Digital printing uses a four colour process reproduction method. It produces an image using toner or ink, and dots of colour, taken from electronic files such as a PDF.

Our commercial and robust digital printing machines are perfect if you need to print hundreds rather than thousands of copies, and we recently invested in new Heidelberger Druckmaschinen technology that won’t let you down. The quality it provides is almost as clear as litho printing, making it an excellent option if you just need a small number of brochures – for example – or some collateral for a special occasion or one-day event.

Digital printing offers a faster set-up process and shorter lead times than litho printing, so with digital we are able to be highly-responsive, great for your urgent projects. It is ideal for personalised printing such as corporate gifts, invitations, and printed materials with different addresses, names or sequential numbers.

Also giving the option to print on up to 400gsm board weight and uncoated papers, our digital printing machinery allows us to adjust the depth of printing on uncoated materials for greater clarity, and can handle long sheets for landscape prints. In fact, digital printing is possible and cost effective using a wide range of papers finishes and weights – the choice is yours.

Digital printing is environmentally friendly because there are no pre-press stages between the digital document file and the final print, so there are no film plates or photo chemicals used.

If you need to print thousands of copies then digital printing probably isn’t your best option. Instead, you should choose litho printing, a service that we also offer. Litho printing is usually chosen when a client specifies an exact colour match to a specific Pantone reference number and needs to print higher quantities.

Put simply, the benefits of digital printing include:

  • Speed: fast set-up and print, and no drying time required
  • Flexibility: choice of paper types, finishes and weights available
  • Good quality: very close to litho
  • Environmentally-friendly: no chemicals used
  • Short print runs: no need to dump out of date collateral
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Ideal for personalised printing
  • Accurate proofs available at no extra cost
